Choosing an MP3 player is like almost straying into subjective territory. In fact, I’ve always believed that MP3 players are somewhat of an acquired taste. Have you, by any chance, managed to get your hands on the RCA MP3 player? For the record, the RCA MP3 player is both flash based as well as a hard drive based.

The MP3 player is compatible with an array of music formats like WMA, MP3 and the like. There are several versions of the RCA MP3 player to choose from. For those genetically engineered for sport, the RCA Sports MP3 player is a must have. There’s a sports arm-band, belt clip, USB cable, ear plugs and battery.

The RCA Lyra MP3 player is a hard drive based device that has the enviable ability to play 130 hours of music. Mac OSX 10.2 or higher or even Windows 98/ME/2000/XP are hardly a cause for concern for this MP3 player.

Released on June 1st 2007, new RCA Jet S2000 (2 GB) and cute MP3 player is the latest addition to RCA’s MP3 product line. This device RCA Jet S2000 (2 GB) is most described as a gym MP3 player. The main advantage over this device RCA Jet S2000 (2 GB) is its very low price tag. As mentioned earlier, Jet supports only very few audio formats; MP3, WMA and protected WMA.

To address this technology sense, RCA has introduced Pearl. Pearl is also catered for the budget conscious market, with two different versions of 1 GB and 2 GB. If you have a special liking for those flashy colors, RCA Pearl would be your perfect partner in crime. The player is 3 inches tall and 1 inch wide by 0.8 thicknesses.

While supporting downloadable music, Pearl supports audible and WMA subscription services such as Yahoo Music Unlimited. Pearl’s wacky menu structure is another feature that is heavily criticized.
